Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 27, 2026
Inspecable (Pty) Ltd ("Inspecable", "we", "us"), registration number 2026/697227/07, is the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy, as defined in South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). We provide asset inspection, work order, job, and customer sign-off software for field workforces, delivered as a mobile app (Android) and a web dashboard, and we operate this website.
This policy has two parts: what the Inspecable app (the product your organization uses) collects to run the service, and what this website (inspecable.com) collects when you fill in a form, book a demo, or purchase a subscription here.
Who is responsible for your data
Responsible party: Inspecable (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/697227/07.
Information Officer: Vela Lengululego Sabelo. Contact the Information Officer about any privacy request, question, or complaint at info@inspecable.com.
Part 1 — The Inspecable app
This part covers the mobile app and web dashboard your organization uses to run inspections, work orders, jobs, and sign-offs.
Information the app collects
We collect the following categories of data to provide the service:
- Account information — your name, email address, phone number, job title/team, and your role within your organization.
- Location — precise and/or approximate device location, captured only in the foreground at the moment you record an inspection, customer sign-off, or job, so the work has a verifiable location for audit and compliance. We do not track location in the background.
- Photos, videos, and documents — media and scanned documents you capture or upload as part of inspections, sign-offs, jobs, and your profile photo.
- Digital signatures and customer sign-off details — signature images and the name, email, phone, and company of the customer signing off on work, captured by the field worker during a sign-off.
- Work content you create — inspections, work orders, jobs, tasks, sign-offs, notes, and related records.
- Device and notification identifiers — a push notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) used to deliver notifications, and basic network/connectivity state to support offline use.
We do not collect contacts, calendar, SMS or call logs, browsing or search history, installed-app inventory, or health data. The app itself does not use advertising or analytics SDKs.
How the app uses your data
- To provide and operate the app's core features (inspections, work orders, jobs, sign-offs).
- To synchronize your work between your device and your organization, including offline-first sync.
- To GPS-tag recorded work for audit and compliance, when you allow location.
- To send operational notifications such as assignments and updates.
- To provide support and maintain the security and integrity of the service.
Part 2 — This website (inspecable.com)
This part covers what happens when you use a form on this marketing website — the demo request, safety risk assessment, newsletter sign-up, contact form, exit-intent offer, self-serve checkout, or free trial sign-up — separately from the app itself.
Information this website collects
- Enquiry and lead details — name, work email, company, phone number, job title, number of assets, and any message you type, when you request a demo, ask a question, request a free trial, or take the safety risk assessment (including your answers and calculated score).
- Newsletter sign-up details — name and email address, and company if you provide it.
- Self-serve purchase details — company name, contact name, work email, phone number, and industry, used to verify your email and set up billing before you pay.
- Payment information — we do not collect or store your card details ourselves. Payment is processed by Paystack; see "Who we share it with" below.
- Marketing attribution — UTM parameters (e.g. which campaign or link brought you here) attached to a form submission, so we know which channel to attribute an enquiry to.
- Analytics cookies — only if you accept the cookie banner. See "Cookies and analytics" below.
How this website uses your data
- To respond to your enquiry, book your demo, or process your free trial or self-serve purchase.
- To follow up with you about Inspecable, where you have not objected (see "Direct marketing" below).
- To send the newsletter, if and only if you subscribed to it.
- To measure which pages and campaigns visitors use, only where you have accepted analytics cookies.
Cookies and analytics
This website loads Google Analytics only after you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, or before you make a choice, no analytics script loads and no analytics cookie is set. Declining or accepting has no effect on forms — submitting a form always sends your details to us regardless of your cookie choice, because that is necessary to respond to you, not an analytics cookie.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any tracker beyond Google Analytics.
Direct marketing
We only add you to the newsletter if you explicitly subscribed to it. We may follow up about an enquiry you raised (a demo request, trial, or contact form) because that follow-up relates directly to what you asked us for. You can object to any further direct marketing, or unsubscribe from the newsletter, at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or by emailing info@inspecable.com. We will stop processing your information for direct marketing once you object.
How your data is shared
We do not sell your personal data and do not share it for advertising. We share data only with service providers (operators, in POPIA terms) that help us run the app and this website:
- Supabase — our hosting and backend provider (authentication, database, and file storage) for both the app and this website's forms. Your data is stored here on our behalf.
- Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) — delivers push notifications using a device push token, for the app.
- Google Play Services (ML Kit) — on-device document scanning in the app; the scan is processed on your device and is not sent to Google.
- Paystack — processes payment if you buy a subscription through this website's self-serve checkout. Paystack receives your card details directly; we never see or store them.
- Google Analytics — only if you accept analytics cookies on this website. Google Analytics may process your IP address (with IP anonymization enabled) and general usage data.
We may also disclose data where required by law, or to your own organization's administrators who manage your account and the work you perform for them.
Cross-border transfer of your data
Our database (Supabase) is hosted in Singapore (AWS ap-southeast-1). Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Play Services, and Google Analytics are operated by Google, which processes data in multiple countries including the United States. Paystack processes payments and may transfer data outside South Africa as part of that processing.
Where your personal information is transferred outside South Africa, we rely on contractual safeguards with these providers requiring a level of protection that meets or exceeds POPIA's conditions for cross-border transfer (POPIA section 72), including that the provider is bound by law, contract, or binding corporate rules to comply with data protection principles substantially similar to POPIA's.
Data security
All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access is restricted by authentication and per-organization access controls so that organizations can only access their own data.
Data retention and deletion
We retain app account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet your organization's recordkeeping and compliance needs.
We retain website enquiry, newsletter, and self-serve checkout details for as long as needed to respond to you, run the checkout, and meet accounting and legal record-keeping requirements, and delete or anonymize them when no longer needed for those purposes.
You can delete your account and associated personal data at any time, both inside the app (Profile → Delete Account) and by request. See our Account & Data Deletion page for full instructions. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to correct or update inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information.
- Deletion — ask us to delete or destroy personal information we no longer have authority to hold.
- Object to our processing of your personal information, including for direct marketing, at any time and free of charge.
- Withdraw consent where our processing relies on your consent (e.g. the newsletter), without affecting processing carried out before you withdrew it.
- Complain — lodge a complaint with us, or directly with the Information Regulator, if you believe we have processed your information unlawfully (see below).
To exercise any of these rights, email our Information Officer at info@inspecable.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and, in any event, within the timeframes POPIA requires.
Complaints to the Information Regulator
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal information, you can lodge a complaint with South Africa's Information Regulator:
Children
Inspecable is a workplace tool intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
