Safety and inspection software for South African manufacturing sites

For factories and industrial sites under the OHS Act: monthly SHE inspections, machine guarding and driven-machinery checks, non-conformances that become owned corrective actions, toolbox talks and inductions on the record, and an ISO 45001 conformance you can audit clause by clause.

    01What the regulator asks for

    Under the Occupational Health

Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 and the Driven Machinery Regulations. Each obligation below has a free document to start on paper, emailed as a PDF.

Section 8: a safe workplace, with the hazards known and controlled

The employer must establish what hazards exist, take the steps that remove or mitigate them, and keep plant and machinery safe. The monthly SHE inspection and the risk assessment are how a factory shows it.

    SHE representative inspection checklist (monthly)

Section 13: workers informed of the hazards and the precautions

Inductions, task training and toolbox talks, with a signed attendance register an inspector can read.

Non-conformances closed, and ISO 45001 clause 10.2 satisfied

A finding from an inspection, an incident or an audit with an owner, a due date and the evidence that it was fixed, verified by someone else.

What the product enforces, and what is switched on for you

Every trial starts on the Safety & Compliance edition. Anything marked Operations plan is switched on by Inspecable.

Your SHE checklist, on a phone, offline

Import the monthly inspection from Excel, PDF or a photo of the paper form, run it on Android with a photo and a signature per item, and let a failed item raise a tracked issue with a due date on the spot.

Corrective actions that cannot close without evidence

One register fed from inspections, incidents, near misses, observations and audits. An owner and a due date on every action; closure refused without a method, evidence and a signature; a signed effectiveness review after.

Legal register, appointments and ISO 45001

An OHS Act pack to start, section 16(2) assignees and committees on the record, and clause-level conformance for ISO 45001 that an internal audit can be run against.

Planned maintenance, parts and work orders (Operations plan)

A planned-maintenance register with overdue badges, work orders raised from a failed inspection and signed off with the parts used, and stock with locations and transfers.

The mechanisms in detail: pre-start checks, vehicle inspections, permits to work, corrective actions, the legal register, the asset register and the AI.

    03Questions

    Asked by manufacturing before buying

It comes with the OHS Act legal-register pack and your own checklists. Import the forms you already use from Excel, PDF or a photo, or start from the free SHE inspection, forklift and ladder checklists on this site, which are built for South African sites.

It records clause-level conformance for ISO 45001 beside the legal register, keeps the documents with read-and-acknowledge by version, and turns audit findings into corrective actions with enforced closure. The certification body audits you; Inspecable holds the evidence it asks for.
