How do I stop keeping the asset register in Excel?
How Inspecable keeps the asset register and the places work happens. Search and filter equipment, open an asset to see its health, open issues, work orders and documents, organise assets into groups, add a new asset with category-specific fields, and manage sites, areas and working places with live weather per site.

Intro
Assets and sites are the spine of Inspecable. Every inspection, issue, work order and cost attaches to one of them. This video shows the asset register and the site tree.
Asset register
The Assets page is your register. The cards count active, in-maintenance and inactive assets, groups and sub-assets. Search by name, ID or type, switch between grid and table, and use Filter and Sort to narrow the list.
Filters
Filter narrows the register by status, asset group and whether an asset has open issues. Tick Include sub-assets to list components alongside their parent assets.
Asset detail and health
Open an asset to see its health ring, which drops for open issues, overdue work orders and overdue maintenance, alongside the next service date, open issues and incidents, and lifetime cost. Below that sit the asset information, its inspections, issues, work orders, maintenance history, timeline and documents.
Asset groups
Groups organise the register into fleets, facilities and plant areas. Create a group, assign assets to it, and the ungrouped count tells you what still needs a home.
Add an asset
Add Asset creates one record. Pick a category to capture category-specific fields, choose the type and group, then fill in the make, model, serial number, site and a photo. Bulk Upload loads many assets at once from a spreadsheet.
Sites and areas
Sites and Areas holds every place work happens, three levels deep: a site, its areas, and the working places inside them. The weather card gives each site a safety verdict, and the map plots every site that has coordinates.
Site tree and working places
Expand a site to see its detailed weather and its areas, then expand an area for its working places. Add areas and working places from here. Customer sites are created from the customer's record, so they stay linked to the account.
Wrap-up
That's assets and sites. Next, inspections: templates, assignment and results.
