Need a legal register for the Mine Health and Safety Act or the OHS Act, and a way to check your system against ISO 45001 before the audit?
In Inspecable you seed the legal register from an MHSA pack (20 obligations) or an OHS Act pack (12), then rate conformance against ISO 45001, SANS 3000-1 or the MHSA, with evidence.
How to Build a Legal Register (MHSA, OHS Act) and Rate ISO 45001 Conformance | Inspecable
This web dashboard tutorial covers the Management System tab of the Safety Hub: safety objectives, legal appointments, committees, the legal register with responsible roles and review cycles, standards conformance, the critical control register and the audit programme, then time-boxed, read-only access for an external auditor, with every view and export logged. Conformance loads one requirement per part of the management system, each mapped to the standard's clause references; it is not a full clause-by-clause ISO 45001 audit checklist, and you can add your own. Recorded in a live demonstration organisation.

Introduction
In this video you'll see where Inspecable keeps your safety management system: the legal register, conformance to standards, controls and audits, and how to give an external auditor read-only access.
The management system
Management System is a tab in the Safety Hub. It holds the system that governs the work, rather than the day-to-day records. Objectives come first: your safety policy, annual targets and initiatives, cascading from corporate to department. Accountability records legal appointments. Each is written, time-bound and must be accepted by the person appointed. Involvement records your health and safety committees, worker representatives and meetings, with attendance and quorum.
The legal register
The legal register lists each obligation that applies to you: the act and section, what it requires, who is responsible, the review cycle and the next review date. Search it, filter by status, or show only overdue reviews. Each obligation has a status, and superseded ones are kept on record. Edit one to set its responsible role and review cycle. Obligations can also be linked from incidents, findings and actions, as evidence of how you meet them. To get started, Seed from pack loads a ready set: the mining pack, with twenty obligations from the Mine Health and Safety Act, or the general pack, with twelve from the OHS Act and its regulations. They come in as drafts, and nothing existing is changed.
Standards conformance
Conformance rates your system against a standard: ISO 45001, SANS 3000-1 or the MHSA. Load a framework, and each requirement is mapped to that standard's clause references. It's one requirement per part of the system, not every clause, and you can add your own. Rate each requirement as conforming, partial or a non-conformance, with a note on the evidence. A requirement nobody has assessed shows as not assessed: a gap, not a pass. Records linked as evidence are counted against each one.
Controls and audits
Critical controls lists each control with its place in the hierarchy of control, its owner and when it was last verified, and leads with any that are overdue. Audit and Review plans your internal and external audits and management reviews. Each audit has a scope, a framework, planned and actual dates, and an internal or external auditor. Findings raised from an audit go straight into the findings register, so they're followed up like any other.
External auditor access
When an external auditor needs your records, an account administrator grants access under Settings, Auditor access. Choose the record types, sites and dates, up to a hundred and eighty days. The auditor works in a separate, read-only portal, and every view and export is logged.
Recap
So: seed the legal register from a pack, and review it. Load a framework and rate each requirement with evidence. Keep your controls verified and your audits planned, and give auditors time-boxed, read-only access. Next, see how to onboard a contractor and keep track of their certificates. Every tutorial is on our website, linked on screen now.
