    Intro

Work orders are the corrective work on your own equipment; maintenance is the preventive work you plan ahead. This video shows both, and the parts inventory that feeds them.

    Work orders

The Work Orders list filters to all, active, overdue or done. Each row shows the asset, the title, the type, who it is assigned to, the due date, estimated and actual cost, and its status. Assign an open work order straight from the row, or open it with the eye.

    Create a work order

Create starts with the asset. Pre-fill from a template if you have one, name the work order, and set its type, priority, description, assignee, due date, estimated cost and the parts required. Work orders are also raised from issues, from assets, from inspection steps, and automatically by maintenance schedules.

    Work order detail and status

A work order shows its description, the asset, linked inspections, quick info, and the status stepper: open, assigned, in progress, completed. Completion asks for notes, time, parts used and photos. Save PDF to Documents files the report under Records.

    Maintenance KPIs

Maintenance shows total cost, average cost per asset, overdue items and completed records, with the top maintenance types and the average cost by asset group. Schedules sit below, each with its interval and next due date. When a schedule falls due, a work order is generated automatically.

    Templates, schedules and records

Templates hold a reusable task list, parts and estimated cost. Schedule creates a time-based or meter-based plan for an asset. Create Record logs maintenance that has been done, with the technician, parts and labour.

    Inventory

Inventory tracks spare parts and consumables: how many SKUs, what they are worth, what is low or out of stock, and the latest counts, issues, transfers and receipts. Manage Parts opens the parts register and suppliers; Locations manages stock locations and transfers between them.

    Parts and suppliers

Parts are grouped by category with part number, supplier, unit cost and quantity on hand. Filter to what is below its reorder threshold, add parts one at a time or in bulk, or pull them from the shared parts library.

    Wrap-up

That's work orders and maintenance. Next, field service: jobs, dispatch and customers.
