How to Report a Defect or Hazard From the Field and Track It to Fixed | Inspecable (Android)
This tutorial reports a loose handrail on the stairway to a conveyor walkway: picking the asset, the title, the description and the severity, then finding the issue again, reading its stage from reported to closed, rating it on your organisation's risk matrix with Assess risk, and marking it resolved once it is fixed. Assigning, classifying and closing out the issue happen on the web dashboard. Recorded from the field app in a live demonstration organisation.

Introduction
In the next two minutes you will report a problem from the field on the Inspecable app, find it again, see where it stands, and rate its risk, so the right people can act on it. You have spotted a loose handrail on the stairway up to a conveyor walkway. From Home, tap the plus button, then New Issue.
Fill it in
First pick the asset it belongs to. Here it is Conveyor Backbone Line 1. Then give it a short title that says what is wrong: handrail loose on stairway to the conveyor walkway. Describe what you found, so whoever fixes it knows where to look. Choose the severity: low, medium, or high and urgent. Medium fits here. You can add photos or a video too. All of this works with no signal. Tap Report Issue. It is saved, and you are back on Home. With no signal it saves on the phone and goes up when you are back in coverage. Open Issues from More. It lists the open and resolved issues, including any you reported offline that have not synced yet. Search for yours, and tap it to open it.
Where it stands
The issue shows its stage, from reported through to closed, and what comes next. Below that are the asset and who reported it. Your supervisor assigns it and closes it out on the web.
Rate the risk
Tap Assess risk to rate it on your organisation's risk matrix. Pick how likely it is and how bad it would be. Possible and moderate gives high, nine. Say why, and tap Save rating. A rating made offline is saved and syncs later.
When it is fixed
Now the rating is on the issue for everyone to see. When the handrail has been fixed, come back and tap Mark as Resolved. You can reopen it if the problem comes back.

So: pick the asset, give it a title, describe it, and set the severity. Report it, with or without signal. Then open it to see its stage, rate the risk, and resolve it once it is fixed.
