Need a machine's history and manuals at the machine, not back at the office?

On the Inspecable field app for Android, scan the asset's QR label or search the asset register, then ask SpecBot, which answers from that asset's own manuals and history.

Find a Machine by Its QR Label and Ask AI From Its Manuals | Inspecable (Android)

This tutorial scans a QR label, searches the asset list for a Caterpillar 730 dump truck, reads its timeline, details and documents, and asks SpecBot about transmission fluid leaking from the breather, answered from the troubleshooting sheet loaded for that truck. The QR lookup needs signal. The asset list keeps up to 500 assets on the phone for offline use, and offline SpecBot shows the last summary it saved for the asset. Each SpecBot question uses AI credits. Recorded from the field app in a live demonstration organisation.

    Introduction

In the next two minutes you will find a machine on the Inspecable field app, by its QR label or from the asset list, read its page, and ask SpecBot a question about it.

    Scan the QR label

Every asset can carry a QR label. Tap Scan QR Code on the plus button, or Scan asset QR code when you start an inspection, and point the camera at the label. When it finds the asset, choose View Details or Start Inspection. The lookup needs signal.

    Find it in the list

No label, or no signal? Open Assets from More and search by name. Here it is the Caterpillar 730 dump truck. Up to five hundred assets are kept on the phone, so the list works offline too.

    The asset's page

The asset's page has three tabs. Timeline shows what has happened to it, Info has its details, and Docs holds its manuals and sheets. From the top you can start its inspection or report an issue.

    Ask SpecBot

Tap the chat button to ask SpecBot about this machine. It answers from the asset's own manuals and history, and each question uses AI credits. Here the question is about transmission fluid leaking from the breather. And here is the answer, taken from the troubleshooting sheet loaded for this truck.

    With no signal

With no signal, the asset list still works, because up to five hundred assets are kept on the phone. A QR scan needs signal to look the asset up, so use the list instead. And SpecBot shows the last summary it saved for that asset.

    Recap

So: scan the label, or search the asset list. Read the timeline, the details and the documents. And ask SpecBot when you need an answer from the machine's own manuals. Next, on the Operations plan: jobs, work orders and clocking in. Every tutorial is on our website, linked on screen now.
