    Inspecable vs IsoMetrix

IsoMetrix is the EHS and sustainability suite South African mining groups already know: a Johannesburg office, a platinum refinery on its customer page, ESG reporting for the board. A SHEQ manager compares it with Inspecable when the group has the suite and the shift still runs on paper. This page compares the two from IsoMetrix’s own pages, read on 5 October 2026.

    01Credit where it is due

Where IsoMetrix may be the better fit

    Enterprise EHS breadth with ESG

Occupational health and hygiene, medical surveillance, quality, enterprise and third-party risk, stakeholder management, carbon accounting and ISO 14064-aligned reporting. Inspecable has none of the ESG side and its health programmes are partial.

    A South African track record

A Johannesburg office, a named platinum refinery story on its own site, and a press-documented history in South African mining since 2003. Inspecable has no approved customer references.

iOS and Android, five languages, implementation teams

Offices on four continents, Carlyle backing and more than 200 enterprise clients stated in 2019. Inspecable is Android and web, from one team in Johannesburg.

    02The difference

    Where Inspecable is different

What happens after a failed item

A failed step raises a tracked issue with a due date on the spot, offline, and closure is refused without a method, evidence and a signature. IsoMetrix has a central action manager; its pages do not describe enforced closure.

Offline as the default, not a conversion

Inspections, incidents, near misses and toolbox talks run offline on Android for every customer. IsoMetrix states that any module can be converted into an offline form, which is an admin step per module.

A published rand price and a trial

R150 per field user and R250 per admin per month, a 14-day trial, and an AI import that turns a photo of the paper form into a checklist. IsoMetrix is quote only with no free trial listed.

Its own site lists a Johannesburg office among six and names no head office. Press records the company starting as Metrix Software Solutions in South Africa in 2003, launching in mining, and taking a Carlyle Sub-Saharan Africa Fund investment in 2019. Inspecable is built and supported from Johannesburg.

Its pages say any module can be converted into an offline form for Android or iOS, capturing and editing records without a connection and syncing later. That is a per-module setup step. Whether existing records and documents can be read offline is not stated.

Nothing stops it: Inspecable exports a date range of signed inspection PDFs as one ZIP with an index spreadsheet, and thirteen catalogue reports to XLSX and PDF, so the group suite can hold the summary while the shift works offline. An integration is on request.
