    Inspecable vs GoCanvas

GoCanvas is a mobile forms platform: any paper form becomes an app, with a PDF emailed at the end. Operations teams pick it to digitise everything at once. The question for a safety team is what the form is connected to afterwards. This page compares the two from GoCanvas’ own pages, read on 5 October 2026.

    01Credit where it is due

Where GoCanvas may be the better fit

An iPhone app and a thousand integrations

GoCanvas runs on iOS and Android, names more than 1,000 integrations including Salesforce, Procore, NetSuite and QuickBooks, and sells API access on its Pro plan. Inspecable is Android and web, with its API on request.

Thirty thousand ready-made forms and dispatch in the entry plan

GoCanvas publishes over 30,000 pre-built forms and includes dispatch and scheduling on its cheapest plan. Inspecable has no public form library, and dispatch is on the Operations edition.

    Scale and tenure

Founded in 2008, part of the Nemetschek Group since 2024, more than 300,000 active users stated in 2024, SOC 2 report access on the top plan and a worldwide reseller network.

    02The difference

    Where Inspecable is different

An inspection system, not a form

A failed step raises a tracked issue with a due date on the spot, offline, and closure is refused without a method, evidence and a signature. GoCanvas offers follow-up tasks on its top plan and describes no enforced closure.

Records for the inspector of mines

A hash-chained history per inspection, a legal register seeded with MHSA or OHS Act obligations, clause-level ISO 45001 conformance and an AI check against the MHSA corpus. GoCanvas names no mining, MHSA or South African content on its pages.

    Permits, incidents and rand pricing

Permits to work on the web with two-person isolation verification, incidents and near misses offline on Android, and billing in rand. GoCanvas bills in US dollars with a three-user minimum.
